Guess what? Full Fork Ahead is on vacation this week! By this point we’ll have cooked zero new recipes to try out for this place in the past two weeks and I have to admit it’s been nice. We went on a bit of a binge, cooking three recipes every Sunday for the last three weekends. This made me in particular a tired cooking panda. We try to do this every so often to get ahead in our posting schedule, but this time it wasn’t going to work and finally I decided to just let it rest. Since there’s nothing new to post on this week, and Spring has supposedly begun (though you’d never know it by the chilly temperatures most are experiencing this week alone), we thought why not look back at some of the more warmer-weather-friendly recipes we’ve tried and enjoyed.
Crab Deviled Eggs - The recipe originally called for lobster, but I guess we couldn’t bear to go quite that expensive and tried lump crab meat instead. Though, depending on where you get it, this can be just as expensive! Whichever route you go, we can attest to these deviled eggs as being a delicious treat if you’re so inclined.
Looking back at this Banana Rum Cream Pie recipe has me wanting to make it all over again. There’s minimal oven usage going on with this one and the rest is an easy, cool breezy snap.
At the opposite end of the baking spectrum is this Key Lime Pound Cake. It’s worth every second in the oven and it’s as refreshing as a trip to the Keys! Well…almost. Your tongue will think so for sure.
I was aghast at how much the tuna steaks cost the time we made this recipe, but the amazing taste factor helped me forget that when we made this Tuna Salad. Maybe not for everyday, but worth it for a special meal.
I doubt any post like this will forget to mention the White Sangria recipe that still gets the most visits every week ever since we posted it. We like to call it Adult Fruit Juice.
Ever felt like making your own popsicles? After making things like these from scratch, it’s easy to see why it’s tempting to just go to your grocery freezer section, but homemade usually tastes better. These Peach-Vanilla Cream Pops prove it.
Won’t be long now till fresh blueberries are in season! These Banana Blueberry Muffins are still some of the best blueberry muffins we’ve ever had.
I can’t count how many times we’ve made this wonderful BLT Pasta Salad. It’s one of my hubby’s favorites for obvious reasons - the bacon of course!

If you have one of those countertop ice cream makers, then these wonderful warm-weather Strawberry Wine Slushies are only thirty or so minutes away.
Personally, we thought this Lobster and Shells salad spoke for itself, but if you need any confirmation, OK then - it’s ridiculously fantastic!
Saffron Orzo with Shrimp. This is a richly-flavored weeknight meal that is so quick and easy, you won’t believe quite how awesome it tastes.
Caramelized Banana Split Sundaes. This. was. so. GOOD. Sometimes that’s pretty much the only thing you can get through all the taste bud joy.
My love for Burger King’s mango smoothie naturally led to this lip-smacking Peach Mango Smoothie homemade variation. Long live the mango!
English Muffin Pizzas fall under the Ridiculously Easy category, but since no recipe is ever too easy, these little things are that much more appealing.
And that, in a nutshell, are a few of the things you’ll find here that would be great for the warming weather. Or that warm weather that’s to come soon. We hope? I think we’re all ready for you, Spring!

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and appearance. I must say you have done a very good job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Chrome. Exceptional Blog!
